Usually I'm off work on Sunday's (knock on wood). So I usually find myself cooking up a storm on Sunday's. I find it saves me time during the week when I come home pooped from work or my 7 year old is bugging me for dinner and I just don't have the energy to cook.

Well this week I made some Thai Inspire Cabbage. I can't give away all my secrets but I will say there is coconut milk and another Thai staple, lemon grass.
That's Thai Basil as the garnish

It was not only tasted AMAZING but the smells filled my nostril making the experience orgasmic. Yes the cabbage was orgasmic.

So next I had lots of (regualr) basil in my garden and what comes to mind...Pesto of course. I had some almonds in the freezer and it was on. I started by dry roasting the almonds in a frying pan till I could smell them. Umm. I chopped them up fine and grabbed a few handfuls of basil then added some extra light olive oil. I usually love the heavy taste of olive oil but I had light on hand. Added some Romano and 3 cloves of garlic, oh and lots of fresh pepper. The next day I slathered it on some crusty bread I had and popped it in the oven. Ridiculous!!

I've been trying to perfect this pea patty recipe ever since I was given the idea. I think I'm almost there. It's nothing but a package of frozen peas boiled and put in the blender. Add some seasoning, form into patties and fry up, But oh no it's not that simple, they have fallen apart on me and now I think I have the secret. They are crispy and de-friggin-licious. My boy goes crazy for these. But this time I they are Indian Inspired.

Again I can't give away all my secrets but I will say there is some curry and cinnamon. WHAT? Yes cinnamon and they were banging (even before I cooked them).

I feel like every Goddess should have some signature dishes under her belt, so this is what I've been working on.
